When to Start Antenatal Care?

Quit smoking and alcohol

Start folic acid supplements (400–800 mcg/day)

Discuss current medications or supplements with your doctor during pregnancy consultation

Avoid exposure to harmful chemicals (at work or home)

Maintain a balanced diet and healthy weight
Antenatal Visit Schedule
Once a month — During the first 6 months
Every 2 weeks — In the 7th and 8th months
Every week — During the 9th month until delivery

During routine antenatal checkups, your doctor will evaluate various health markers to ensure a smooth pregnancy.
